This woodland style flute is crafted from curly old growth redwood. The voice of this flute is clean and soft with great volume.
 
This redwood is from a small amount I currently have in inventory. At one time it was a large table top that was floating in the Pacific ocean. It was recovered on a beach in Oregon in the 60's. Since then it was cut into blanks for flutes. The tightness of the grain suggests its age maybe in hundreds of years, if not more.
